Mirthea Suites, a renovated residential complex, is built on the highest point of the village of Myrthios. Myrthios is a traditional village in South Crete, about 3.5 kilometres from the seaside village of Plakias, at an altitude of 200 metres from the sea level.

In the 20th century, the local population referred to the area where Mirthea Suites now stands as "Halara."

The location of Mirthea Suites is characterized by its panoramic view of the whole area of Myrthios, the neighbouring village of Sellia, Plakias, the flatland, the Bay of Plakias and Damnoni beach, a captivating view from East to West that never gets old.
